Matt Miles is an award winning documentary filmmaker and media producer based in Vancouver, BC and the Pacific Northwest. His work is a unique blend of cultural and social inquiry, focusing in-particular on remote Indigenous community building and insightful short form work about artists and craftsmen. He is also available for corporate and promotional video work and works frequently in this field.
Matt grew up in Oxford, England where he completed a degree in Creative Music Technology. In 2010 he established Approach Media shortly after emigrating to Canada. Music based documentary work and music video production have been a consistent feature and focus in the projects he has undertaken, and continue to be one of the areas which he finds most rewarding along with cultural preservation projects and expedition work. He is currently the Creative Director of Approach Media, a Documentary and new media production company based in Vancouver, BC.
Jayce Hawkins is a cinematographer and editor with a wide range of expertise ranging from skilled artistic cinematography to complex motion graphics. Having worked his way up through the industry over the past five years, Jayce has extensive experience on projects for an array of clientele including master carver Carey Newman, The City of Victoria, Viking Air, DeSmog Canada, and Motorola. His passion for imagery and the human condition is reflected in his work, and has taken him to Canada’s most northern communities, and across America from California to North Carolina.
Jayce spent 17 years between Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Denmark. His travels have fuelled a desire to tell stories that help us celebrate, reflect, and learn, and he believes that cross-culture themes and a strong photographic eye will continue to help innovate and drive the world of motion work. Jayce was educated in Fine Arts and Writing at the University of Victoria.
Kamelia Savova is a Project Manager driven by a desire to implement positive change in the world. Fluent in five languages including French, Italian, Spanish, English, and Bulgarian, Kamelia gets people and their many forms of communication. Whether it be translation, proposals, or on location logistics, Kamelia uses a creative human approach to solve problems and deliver quality projects.
Originally from Bulgaria, Kamelia moved to Montreal as a child, where she has since then spent most of her life. Her curiosity for the world surrounding her has always motivated her to expand her horizons; she has spent time abroad living in Nice, Milan, New York City and Richmond, Virginia.
Since completing her trilingual B.B.A. at HEC Montréal, she has cumulated 7 years of experience working in a variety of fields, from event planning and marketing to high profile strategic business projects. She is currently pursuing her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
